There have been some stunning buildings constructed in Toronto over the past few years; but it’s rare the city goes ahead with a project with as much progressive architecture and original personality intact, as KING Toronto by Bjarke Ingels Group and Westbank Corp.
Bjarke Ingels gives us a little insight on how and why he designs buildings the way he does in the newest season of Abstract available on Netflix.
“The whole premise of Inception is that, in real life, you can’t really realize your dreams because you have so many constraints, but whereas in the dreamworld they could do all these kind of things,” he says.
“When architecture is at its best that’s what you’re doing, you’re coming up with something that is pure fiction.”
Bjarke Ingels is aiming to change the worlds mindset on what is possible.
